Plan your next meeting or event at the ONLY number 1
address in the revitalized Warehouse District of Toledo.

Sur-Saint Clair at 1 South Saint Clair in the historic art corridor of the Toledo Warehouse District located caddy corner from 5/3 Field is an unique venue of historic architecture, displayed art mediums, hip color in a loft type setting.

1 South Saint Clair was built in 1889 by Shaw-Kendall who designed and engineered the hot water system for the Toledo Steam Plant and multiple other downtown and old west-end locations.  In the past 100 and so years, the building has been used as: wallpaper, paint and sales company, warehousing, and the St. Clair Machine Shop, where the advertising is still visible on the outside of the building.  In 2001 current owners Richard and Janet decided that downtown living was their next move and started renovating the building, not only be there home but to support local businesses such as Next Year’s News advertising and graphic arts. There is still availability on the 2nd floor in this prime warehouse district real-estate across from 5/3 Baseball Field.

Sur-Saint Clair was opened by building owners and residents, Richard Rideout and his wife Janet Albright to meet the growing need for an alternative to the traditional meeting and event spaces available in NW Ohio.  Mr. Rideout had a vision to open up his warehouse so the public can actively participate in the revitalization of downtown Toledo and enjoy a hip alternative to traditional spaces giving your events a uniqueness that all participants will remember for a long time. The warm toned walls, expose brick, overhead gantry crane and high gloss original wood floors give the space a loft type feel along with 16 foot ceilings with rows of track lighting that can be adjusted to whatever mood you want to set in the space.  What shines in this space is the one of a kind art that is on display and worked into events as the client wishes. This space has catering available or clients can utilize their own caterer.
